I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to you for your support of my re-election. In last week's primary, Democrats across Ward 4 honored me with their overwhelming support.
With three out of every four voters endorsing our efforts to focus on our neighborhoods, fix our schools, and fight for economic development that will enhance our corridors, we know that we are on the right track to advance an aggressive Ward 4 agenda.
While I am very proud to be twice endorsed by the Washington Post, the Northwest Current along with many civic and professional organizations, it's the endorsement of 75 percent of voters in the September 9 primary that make all the difference!
We've accomplished a great deal but none of it would have been possible without your advocacy and activism. Your impatience with the status quo has empowered me to take on these tough issues and fight for Ward 4. I truly appreciate hearing from each and every one of you and trust that you will continue to share your vision for how our government should work for all DC residents. We're getting results and we cannot afford to stop our momentum now! Together we can continue to move Ward 4 forward; making our neighborhoods safer, protecting our children and providing them with limitless opportunities, assisting our most vulnerable residents including our seniors and disabled neighbors, and providing working families with the access to affordable housing and quality healthcare.
Today and over the next several weeks, I ask for your continued support and your vote on November 4, 2008. Together, we will keep Ward 4 moving forward.
With appreciation,
Muriel Bowser
